Caldonia Dances is looking for female dance artists for the upcoming rehearsal and filming of dance on screen work 'Weight/Wait.' The work follows four characters talking about their stories with mental health and will tour to audiences and schools in London & West Midlands. The work explores the mental and physical 'weight' of their thoughts and inner voice through movement, text and humour.
We would like to encourage applications from women of colour and are particularly keen to meet a South Asian dance artist to take an original role in the work.
Must have three years professional dance training. Must feel comfortable exploring character and text through contemporary movement and potentially using their voice whilst dancing. Must be able to pick up choreography quickly and create movement in response to poetry.
Must be available between Sunday 18th July – Thursday 22nd July - 9am – 6pm, London. Above Equity rates, plus per diems and accomm provided if needed.
